Engineering is largely seen as a technical, scientific subject. Building sites, hard hats and logical problem solving are definitely part of the fun, but engineering spans a whole range of disciplines associated with mathematical, environmental, social and political aspects. It’s as important to understand people and the planet as it is materials and graphs.

I’m excited that engineering goes beyond pure sciences, and I’m ready to keep learning about a variety of things. In this section are a few topics I’ve found interesting that are seemingly unrelated to engineering but I feel are worth sharing.
